PELATIHAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA KASUS KEGAWATDARURATAN DI SEKOLAH DENGAN METODE SIMULASI

Abstract


Abstrak: Prevalensi kejadian cedera tertinggi pada anak dengan usia sekolah. Cedera dapat menjadi kasus kegawatdaruratan dan menimbulkan luka yang serius jika tidak diatasi dengan benar. Kesiapan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan penanganan awal kegawatdaruratan menjadi poin penting untuk mencegah memburuknya kondisi penderita. Pertolongan pertama yang tepat pada kasus kegawatdaruratan di sekolah harus didukung dengan pengetahuan yang cukup. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan siswa/siswi mengenai pertolongan pertama kasus kegawatdaruratan di sekolah. Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di SMP N 9 Model Kota Lubuklinggau. Metode kegiatan ini diawali dengan pretest, penyuluhan materi, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan dengan metode simulasi, dan posttest. Jumlah peserta kegiatan sebanyak 20 orang siswa/siswi yang aktif dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sekolah. Hasil evaluasi terlihat ada peningkatan nilai rerata pretest dengan kategori cukup baik (55%) menjadi baik pada nilai posttest (90%) dan peserta menjadi terampil dalam penanganan kasus cedera yang sering terjadi di sekolah. Pelatihan pertolongan pertama pada kasus kedaruratan di sekolah harus diberikan sejak dini sebagai bekal memberikan pertolongan sesegera mungkin guna menghindari bahaya yang lebih kompleks.

Abstract: The highest prevalence of injury in children of school age. An injury can be an emergency case and cause serious injury if not treated properly. Readiness of knowledge and skills for early emergency management is an important point to prevent the deterioration of the patient's condition. Appropriate first aid in emergency cases in schools must be supported with sufficient knowledge. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of students regarding first-aid emergencies in schools. Community service activities have been carried out in SMP N 9 Model Lubuklinggau City. The method of this activity begins with a pretest, counseling the material, followed by training with simulation methods, and posttest. The number of participants in the activities was 20 students who were active in school extracurricular activities. Evaluation results show that there is an increase in the average pretest score in the good enough category (55%) to be good in the posttest score (90%) and participants become skilled in handling injury cases that often occur in schools. First aid training in emergency cases at school should be given early as a provision to provide help as soon as possible in order to avoid more complex dangers.
