Efektivitas Penggunaan Augmented Reality dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Kosakata Bahasa Inggris: Sistematik Literature Review
Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality (AR) in improving English vocabulary understanding through a Systematic Literature Review approach. Literature sources have been obtained from indexed databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus over the last 10 years. The analysis shows that AR contributes positively to vocabulary comprehension through 3D visualization, interactivity, and audio features that increase student engagement and motivation. In addition, AR enables a more immersive learning experience and suits digital-native preferences. However, research also notes that its impact on academic achievement has not been statistically significant. The main challenges in AR implementation include developing curriculum-appropriate content, limited teacher training, and technical factors such as device compatibility and internet connectivity. Therefore, further research is needed to overcome these obstacles and optimize the use of AR in English vocabulary learning.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan Augmented Reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman kosakata bahasa Inggris melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review. Sumber literatur diperoleh dari database terindeks seperti Google Scholar, DOAJ, dan Scopus dalam rentang 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa AR berkontribusi positif terhadap pemahaman kosakata melalui visualisasi 3D, interaktivitas, dan fitur audio yang meningkatkan keterlibatan serta motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, AR memungkinkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih imersif dan sesuai dengan preferensi digital-native. Namun, penelitian juga mencatat bahwa dampaknya terhadap prestasi akademik belum signifikan secara statistik. Tantangan utama dalam implementasi AR meliputi pengembangan konten yang sesuai dengan kurikulum, keterbatasan pelatihan bagi guru, serta faktor teknis seperti kompatibilitas perangkat dan konektivitas internet. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan AR dalam pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris.
