Peran Media Sosial dalam Meningkatkan Kesadaran Kewarganegaraan Melalui Pembelajaran PKN di MI
Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to examine the role of social media in enhancing civic awareness through Citizenship Education (PKN) learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), with literature sources from Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, selected from publications between 2013-2024. The findings indicate that social media plays a significant role in the development of Citizenship Education. The use of social media platforms such as e-learning, Edmodo, and blogs has proven effective in enhancing students’ understanding of citizenship issues and stimulating active participation in discussions. Social media also encourages civic engagement, civil identity, and students’ political discourse, thereby increasing their commitment to social involvement and civic entrepreneurship. The integration of social media into PKN learning at MI demonstrates various benefits, including increased student motivation and the development of critical thinking skills. This research underscores the importance of utilizing social media as an innovative educational tool to shape informed and actively participating citizens.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran media sosial dalam meningkatkan kesadaran kewarganegaraan melalui pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKN) di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan sumber literatur dari pengindeks Scopus, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar, yang dipilih dari terbitan tahun 2013-2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pengembangan PKN. Penggunaan platform media sosial seperti e-learning, Edmodo, dan blog terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap isu-isu kewarganegaraan serta merangsang partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi. Media sosial juga mampu mendorong keterlibatan sipil, identitas sipil, dan wacana politik siswa, sehingga meningkatkan komitmen mereka terhadap keterlibatan sosial dan kewirausahaan warga. Integrasi media sosial dalam pembelajaran PKN di MI menunjukkan berbagai manfaat, termasuk peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dan pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai alat pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk membentuk warga negara yang terinformasi dan berpartisipasi aktif.
