Abstract

Abstract: In an increasingly globalized world, the utilization of information technology has become crucial in enhancing the accessibility and transparency of information on halal tourism destinations in Indonesia. This study aims to identify how information technology can facilitate Muslim tourists in locating facilities and services aligned with halal principles. The research employs a qualitative method with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, sourcing literature from databases such as Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, focusing on publications from 2014 to 2024. The findings indicate that information technology, including mobile applications and digital platforms, plays a significant role in providing accurate and relevant information about halal facilities, thereby streamlining the search process for tourists. Additionally, the study identifies that limitations in digital infrastructure remain a challenge in developing halal tourism in remote areas. Further advancements in information technology are expected to enhance the experience of Muslim tourists in Indonesia, while also supporting the growth of a more inclusive and sustainable halal tourism sector.
