Profil Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Mahasiswa dan Upaya Peningkatannya melalui Model Project Based Learning

Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa di Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram dan melakukan kajian literature untuk menentukan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran (mix methode), dimana pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan dengan memberikan tes keterampilan berpikir dan upaya peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif melalui pendekatan kualitatif kajian literatur. Subject penelitian menggunakan 30 orang mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram yang diberikan tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa sebanyak 23,34% kategori kreatif, sebanyak 66,66% kategori cukup kreatif dan sebanyak 10,00% kategori kurang kreatif. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada indikator elaboration mendapatkan nilai rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 73,33, sementara itu untuk nilai rata-rata terendah pada indikator flexibility dengan nilai 39,44. Berdasarkan hasil kajian teoritis dan empiris didapatkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the profile of students' creative thinking skills at University of Muhammadiyah Mataram and conduct a literature review to determine learning models that can improve these skills. The type of research used is a mixed method (mix method), where a quantitative approach is carried out by giving tests of thinking skills and efforts to improve creative thinking skills through a qualitative approach to literature review. The research subject used 30 students at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram who were given a test of creative thinking skills. The results showed that the creative thinking skills of students were 23.34% in the creative category, 66.66% in the moderately creative category and 10.00% in the less creative category. Based on the data obtained, it is known that creative thinking skills on the elaboration indicator get the highest average score of 73.33, while the lowest average score is on the flexibility indicator with a value of 39.44. Based on the results of theoretical and empirical studies it was found that to improve students' creative thinking skills using the Project Based Learning model.
