PENGEMBANGAN KOTA BARU MANDIRI TANJUNG SELOR, UNTUK MENINGKATKAN DAYA SAING KALIMANTAN UTARA MELALUI KONSEP SMART REGION
Abstract
Abstrak: Sebagai provinsi yang berada di perbatasan, Kalimantan Utara memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam menjaga kedaulatan serta martabat NKRI, serta sebagai penyangga calon Ibu Kota Negara (IKN). Pengembangan Kota Baru Mandiri Tanjung Selor dipandang dapat meningkatkan perekonomian serta daya saing Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai peran pengembangan KBM Tanjung Selor dalam meningkatkan daya saing Kaltara melalui konsep smart region. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan KBM Tanjung Selor memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam peningkatan daya saing provinsi Kalimantan Utara sebagai wilayah perbatasan dalam menjaga kedaulatan NKRI sekaligus penyangga calon ibukota negara.
Abstract: As a province located on the border, North Kalimantan has a very strategic role in maintaining the dignity of the Republic of Indonesia, and for the candidate for the National Capital (IKN). The development of Tanjung Selor Independent New City is seen as improving the economy and competitiveness of North Kalimantan. This research aims to assess the role of the development of KBM Tanjung Selor in improving Kaltara's competitiveness through the smart region concept. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the analysis showed that the development of KBM Tanjung Selor has a significant role in increasing the competitiveness of North Kalimantan province as a border region in maintaining NKRI sovereignty as well as buffering the candidates for the state capital.
