AI sebagai Mitra Translanguaging: Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis tentang Kecerdasan Buatan Generatif dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Multibahasa di Indonesia

Abstract


Research on AI-mediated Translanguaging has expanded rapidly but remains largely grounded in bilingual contexts, limiting its relevance to Indonesia's trilingual ecology. This study examines the development of generative AI in multilingual language learning and proposes a conceptual framework tailored to the Indonesian context. A Systematic Literature Review following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines was conducted on studies published between 2022 and 2026. The findings indicate that global research conceptualizes AI as a virtual Translanguaging space supporting student-centered learning, whereas Indonesian studies predominantly employ AI as a monolingual literacy tool. In response, this study proposes the Three Layer AI-Mediated Translanguaging Framework, integrating local languages, Indonesian, and English into a unified pedagogical model. The framework extends Translanguaging theory and provides a conceptual foundation for linguistically just AI implementation in Indonesia's multilingual education.
