Abstract

Abstract: The lack of independent involvement of the students in the learning process leads to less interesting geography learning, which then has an impact on the low spatial thinking skills of the students. However, this skill is very important because of its high application in solving problems in everyday life. In this context, a classroom action research (PTK) was conducted with the aim of improving the spatial thinking skills of the students of class X of SMAN 1 Gondanglegi through the use of geomedia. The classroom action was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of four steps (planning, implementation, observation and reflection). Each data was processed using spatial thinking ability tests, observations, pre-tests and post-tests to determine student learning outcomes during the period 8 October to 9 December 2024. The primary data were analysed descriptively, quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the results of the study, it was significantly proved that the application of geomedia in geography learning can improve spatial thinking skills and geography learning outcomes. The application of geomedia by presenting geoinformation aims at motivating students and involving them in the learning process so that their critical thinking can grow in mastering spatial thinking in geography learning.
