Peran Bank Indonesia dalam Membangun Ekosistem Pembayaran Digital yang Aman dan Inklusif
Abstract
Abstract: This study explores the strategic role of Bank Indonesia in developing a secure and inclusive digital payment ecosystem in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, the research analyzes Bank Indonesia’s regulatory policies, infrastructure development initiatives, and its synergy with fintech and banking industries to ensure accessibility, efficiency, and security in digital transactions. The findings reveal that Bank Indonesia plays a key role as regulator, catalyst, and facilitator, particularly in promoting QRIS standardization, increasing financial literacy, and safeguarding consumer protection. Despite these efforts, challenges such as the digital divide, cybersecurity threats, and uneven adoption across regions remain critical. This paper offers strategic insights for strengthening digital financial governance and ensuring broader access to digital economy benefits across Indonesian society.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji peran strategis Bank Indonesia dalam membangun ekosistem pembayaran digital yang aman dan inklusif di Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka, artikel ini menganalisis kebijakan regulasi, pembangunan infrastruktur, serta sinergi Bank Indonesia dengan industri fintech dan perbankan dalam mendorong aksesibilitas, efisiensi, dan keamanan transaksi digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bank Indonesia berperan sebagai regulator, katalisator, dan fasilitator, terutama melalui standardisasi QRIS, peningkatan literasi keuangan, dan perlindungan konsumen. Namun, masih terdapat tantangan berupa kesenjangan digital, ancaman keamanan siber, dan adopsi yang tidak merata antarwilayah. Artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis untuk memperkuat tata kelola keuangan digital dan memastikan akses merata terhadap manfaat ekonomi digital bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat Indonesia.
