Implementasi Manajemen Humas Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Partisipasi Masyarakat Untuk Mendukung Mutu Pendidikan di SMP Negeri 31 Sarolangun

Abstract


Abstract:  The implementation of school public relations management plays a strategic role in strengthening partnerships among schools, parents, and the community to improve educational quality. This community service program aimed to strengthen the implementation of public relations management at SMP Negeri 31 Sarolangun by enhancing communication, collaboration, and community participation in school programs during the 2025/2026 academic year. The program employed a participatory assistance approach consisting of observation, coordination, socialization, program implementation, and evaluation. The activities included meetings with parents, the Father Collects Student Report Card movement, support for Scout activities, and appreciation programs for outstanding students. The results indicated improved communication between the school and parents, increased community involvement in supporting school programs, and stronger collective commitment to creating a conducive educational environment. Strengthening public relations management through collaborative activities contributed positively to increasing public trust and improving the quality of educational services at SMP Negeri 31 Sarolangun.

Abstrak: Implementasi manajemen hubungan masyarakat (humas) di sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam membangun kemitraan antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat guna mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat implementasi manajemen humas di SMP Negeri 31 Sarolangun melalui penguatan komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam berbagai program sekolah pada Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan partisipatif yang meliputi observasi, koordinasi, sosialisasi, pelaksanaan program, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Implementasi dilakukan melalui rapat dengan orang tua/wali murid, Gerakan Ayah Mengambil Rapor Anak, dukungan terhadap kegiatan Pramuka Siaga, serta pemberian apresiasi kepada siswa berprestasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan komunikasi antara sekolah dan orang tua, bertambahnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mendukung program sekolah, serta tumbuhnya komitmen bersama dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang kondusif. Penguatan manajemen humas melalui kegiatan kolaboratif memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan masyarakat dan penguatan mutu layanan pendidikan di SMP Negeri 31 Sarolangun.
