Abstract

Abstract: This study is significant due to the growing demand for halal tourism, which emphasizes the need for a route optimization model supported by information technology and real-time data, creating more efficient journeys tailored to the specific needs of Muslim travelers. The research aims to analyze mathematical models in halal tourism route optimization through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, drawing from literature indexed in Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, with publications selected from 2014 to 2023. Findings reveal that route optimization models play a crucial role in enhancing the comfort and satisfaction of Muslim tourists. By leveraging information technology and real-time data integration, these models can dynamically adjust routes and provide accurate information on halal facilities, thereby improving time and cost efficiency. Advanced algorithms within this model further enable personalized route planning aligned with the preferences of Muslim tourists. Consequently, route optimization supported by information technology serves as an effective strategy to promote the development of halal tourism destinations.
