Upaya Mengatasi Penyebaran Informasi Hoax sebagai Tindakan yang Berakibat pada Disentegrasi Bangsa
Abstract
Abstrak: Berita hoax belakangan ini sudah banyak beredar di masyarakat yang memberikan dampak buruk terhadap disentegrasi bangsa Indonesia. Hoax ialah pemberitaan palsu atau belum ditemukan pembenarannya. Berita atau informasi saat ini sangat mudah diakses masyarakat melalu internet. Banyak kasus masyarakat yang termakan berita hoax, apalagi dalam kasus ujaran kebencian terhadap Pilpres Rabu, 14 februari 2024. Adanya ujaran kebencian diantara para calon presiden yang membuat pro dan kontra didalam masyarakat. Untuk itu pemerintah dan sebagai mahasiswa harus turun tangan dalam memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan menghentikan Polri dan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika menyebarkan hoaks. Barda Nawawi (2011) menyatakan bahwa penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan teori dari teori dalam Strategi atau Upaya Mitigasi Jalur NonPenal. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, pemerintah berupaya menghentikan berita bohong (hoaks) di media sosial dengan menerapkan hukum terhadap penyebar hoaks dalam UU ITE dan pasal 28 ayat 2 KUHP. Hal ini akan membuat para pelakunya jera dengan melibatkan penyelenggara platform atau dengan mengenakan denda dan memberikan pendidikan kepada pengguna internet agar dapat melapor ke [email protected].
Abstract: Hoax news has recently been widely circulating in society which has had a negative impact on the disintegration of the Indonesian nation. Hoax is false news or has not been found to be justified. News or information is currently very easy for people to access via the internet. There are many cases of people being consumed by hoax news, especially in cases of hate speech regarding the presidential election on Wednesday, 14 February 2024. There is hate speech among presidential candidates which creates pros and cons in society. For this reason, the government and students must step in to provide understanding to the public with the aim of stopping the National Police and the Communications and Informatics Service from spreading hoaxes. Barda Nawawi (2011) stated that this research used qualitative methods and theories from theories in Non-Penal Route Mitigation Strategies or Efforts. Based on research findings, the government is trying to stop fake news (hoaxes) on social media by implementing laws against hoax spreaders in the ITE Law and article 28 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code. This will deter the perpetrators by involving the platform organizers or by imposing fines and providing education to internet users so they can report them To [email protected].
