Pengaruh Penayangan Film Pendek Terhadap Civic Disposition Peserta Didik: Studi Kuasi Eksperimen di SMAN 1 Purwokerto
Abstract
Penguatan civic disposition merupakan determinan krusial dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang mencakup pengintegrasian dimensi karakter privat dan publik. Fenomena rendahnya internalisasi nilai kewarganegaraan seringkali dipicu oleh penggunaan instruksional konvensional yang bersifat teoretis. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tujuan untuk mengivestigasi signifikansi penggunaan media berupa film pendek sebagai instrumen pedagogis dengan konteks mentransformasi karakter kewarganegaraan peserta didik. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan sifat kuantitatif eksperimen desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group, data dianalisis secara komprehensif melalui serangkaian uji statistic parametrik. Hasil uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk mengonfirmasi distribusi data yang normal (p > 0,05), semetara ketiadaan variansi pada indikator media kelompok kontrol memvalidasi eksklusivitas intervensi pada kelompok eksperimen. Temuan melalui Paired Sample t-Test menunjukkan eskalasi capaian yang signifikan secara internal (p < 0,001). Kemudian uji Independent Sample t-Test membuktikan superioritas capaian kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (t = 4,689; p < 0,001) dengan ukuran efek substansial (large effect size). Secara spesifik, analisis regresi menunjukkan kontribusi pengaruh yang lebih dominan pada indikator public character (R2 = 0,281) dibandingkan private character (R2 = 0,237). Hal ini mempresentasikan bahwa visualisasi naratif dalam media film pendek lebih efektif dalam menstimulasi kognisi social dan perilaku public peserta didik. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya inovasi media audio-visual dalam kurikulum Pendidikan kewarganegaraan guan memitigasi stagnasi karakter peserta didik di era digital.
The reinforcement of civic disposition serves as a crucial determinant in civic education, encompassing the integration of both private and public character dimensions. The low internalization of civic values is frequently triggered by conventional instructional approaches that remain overly theoretical and abstract. This study aims to investigate the significance of utilizing short films as a pedagogical instrument in transforming student’s civic dispositions. Adopting a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equvalent control group design, the data were comprehensively analyzed through a series of parametic statiscal tests. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test confirmed a normal distribution across datasets (p > 0,05), while the absence of variance in the control control group’s media indicators validated the exclusivity of the intervation within the experimental group. Findings from the Paired Sample t-Test indicated a significant internal escalation of scores (p < 0,001). Furthermore, the Independent Sample t-Test demonstrated the superior performance of the experimental group compared to the control group (t = 4,689; p < 0,001) with a substantial effect size. Specifically, regression analysis revealed a more dominant contribution to the public character indicator (R2 = 0,281) than to the private character indicator (R2 = 0,237). These result represent that narrative visualization in shorts films is more effective in stimulating student’s social cognition and public behavior. The implications of this study emphasize the necessity of innovative audio-visual media within the civic education curriculum to mitigate the stagnation of character development in the digital era.
