Implementasi P5 dalam Meningkatkan Karakter Kesadaran Norma Kesopanan Terhadap Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Purwokerto

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam meningkatkan karakter kesadaran norma kesopanan siswa sekolah menengah pertama di Purwokerto. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunnya kesadaran norma kesopanan siswa yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi, lingkungan pergaulan, serta kurang optimalnya pembinaan karakter dalam lingkungan keluarga. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Purwokerto, SMP Negeri 4 Purwokerto, dan SMP Negeri 9 Purwokerto. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi P5 dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan kokurikuler berbasis proyek yang terintegrasi dengan pembiasaan karakter, seperti budaya 5S, kerja kelompok, refleksi, dan keteladanan guru. Implementasi tersebut memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kesadaran norma kesopanan siswa yang ditunjukkan melalui perilaku menghormati guru, penggunaan bahasa santun, kepatuhan terhadap tata tertib sekolah, serta meningkatnya tanggung jawab sosial. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi pengaruh media sosial, lingkungan pergaulan, dan kurang optimalnya dukungan keluarga. Solusi yang diterapkan sekolah berupa penguatan pembinaan karakter, peningkatan kerja sama dengan orang tua, serta integrasi nilai-nilai kesopanan dalam seluruh aktivitas sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter kesadaran norma kesopanan siswa apabila dilaksanakan secara konsisten dan didukung oleh sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan lingkungan sosial.

This study examines the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) in improving junior high school students’ awareness of politeness norms in Purwokerto. The study was motivated by the declining awareness of politeness norms among students due to technological developments, peer influence, and the limited role of character education in the family environment. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Purwokerto, SMP Negeri 4 Purwokerto, and SMP Negeri 9 Purwokerto. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that P5 was implemented through project-based co-curricular activities integrated with character-building practices, including the 5S culture, collaborative learning, reflection sessions, and teachers’ role modeling. The implementation contributed positively to students’ awareness of politeness norms, reflected in respectful behavior, polite communication, obedience to school rules, and stronger social responsibility. The main obstacles included social media influence, peer environment, and limited family support. Schools addressed these challenges through character reinforcement programs, parental collaboration, and the integration of politeness values into daily school activities. The study concludes that P5 is effective in improving students’ awareness of politeness norms when implemented consistently with support from schools, families, and the surrounding social environment.
