SOSIALISASI EDUKASI PENGETAHUAN DETEKSI DINI RISIKO JATUH PADA LANSIA

Abstract


Abstrak: Jatuh merupakan kejadian dimana seseorang berhenti secara tidak sengaja di lantai. Sekitar 1 dari 3 orang lansia mengalami jatuh setiap tahunnya dimana 30% mengalami jatuh di rumah. Gangguan keseimbangan postural menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya jatuh pada lansia. Jatuh mengakibatkan cedera, kerusakan fisik dan psikologis dan mengakibatkan kematian akibat komplikasi yang diderita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lansia yang memiliki kemampuan  aktivitas yang tinggi cenderung mempunyai latihan keseimbangan yang baik dan mempunyai risiko jatuh yang sangat rendah sehingga disarankan untuk meningkatkan frekuensi aktifitas di luar rumah untuk mengurangi risiko jatuh. Tujuan dilaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan melatih cara untuk mendeteksi dini risiko jatuh pada lansia. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah lansia yang berada di Posyandu Lansia RW 08 Kelurahan Umban Sari Kecamatan Rumbai Kota Pekanbaru dengan jumlah 23 orang. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemeriksaan kesehatan, dan pengukuran risiko jatuh pada lansia, Kegiatan inti edukasi diawali dengan apersepsi tentang pengalaman jatuh yang dialami lansia, penyampaian materi, penilaian risiko jatuh, dan diakhiri dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui tanya jawab terhadap materi yang telah disampaikan. Hasil akhir kegiatan adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan lansia dari 35% menjadi 95% yang terlihat dari adanya antusias lansia saat mendengarkan materi, dan keinginan untuk melakukan aktifitas secara rutin sesuai kemampuan serta berhati hati dalam melaksanakan aktifitas.    

Abstrak: A fall is an incident where a person accidentally stops on the floor. Approximately, 1 in 3 elderly people experience it each year where 30% fall at home. Impaired postural balance is one of the causes of falls in the elderly. A fall can cause injuries, physical and psychological damages and result in death due to complications suffered. Studies showed that the elderly people who have high activity abilities tend to have good balance training and have a very low risk of falling, The purpose of carrying out the community service was to increase knowledge and trained ways to detect early risk of falling in the elderly. The partners in this activity were the elderly who were at the Integrated Health Center RW 08, Umban Sari Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City with a total of 23 people. The activity began with a medical check-up and measuring the risk of falling in the elderly. The main educational activity began with apperceptions about the experiences of falls experienced by the elderly, delivering material, assessing the risk of falling, and ended with discussion and questions and answers. Evaluation of the activity was carried out through question and answer on the material that had been delivered. The final result of the activity was an increase in the knowledge of the elderly from 40% to 95% as seen from the enthusiasm of the elderly when listening to the material and their desire to carry out activities regularly according to ability and be careful in carrying out activities.
