Abstract

Abstract:  This community service program aimed to enhance the interest of high school and vocational school (SMA/SMK) students in pursuing further studies and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Students’ lack of interest is often influenced by limited understanding of STEM’s role in daily life and insufficient information regarding study and career prospects. To address this, the team designed a participatory training program involving students from partner schools. The methods included interactive sessions, group discussions, project-based practices, and presentations on study and career opportunities. The results indicated improved student understanding of STEM concepts, increased motivation to explore the field, and stronger interest in considering STEM for future studies and careers. Teachers also gained new insights into STEM-based learning strategies applicable in classrooms. Thus, this training not only strengthened STEM literacy but also supported the development of education aligned with 21st-century demands.
