Pendidikan Berkualitas dan Implikasinya terhadap Daya Saing Bangsa di Era Global

Abstract


Quality education is a crucial factor in enhancing national competitiveness in the era of globalization. This study aims to analyze the implementation of education policies in improving education quality and their implications for national competitiveness. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach through literature studies and document analysis from sources such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Education, and international institution reports. The results indicate an improvement in students' competencies in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking over the past five years. However, disparities between urban and remote areas remain significant due to unequal infrastructure, limited qualified teachers, and restricted access to technology. Based on George C. Edwards III's policy implementation theory, communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure are the main constraints. Therefore, more comprehensive and sustainable efforts are needed to improve education quality and enhance national competitiveness globally.
