The Prepare , Plan , Design , Implement , Operate , and Optimize Methods on Wireless- Based Internet Networks

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas jaringan internet berbasis wireless di SMP Negeri Neonbat dengan menerapkan metode PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, dan Optimize). Permasalahan yang dihadapi sekolah meliputi koneksi internet yang tidak stabil, jangkauan jaringan yang terbatas, serta penggunaan jaringan yang masih bergantung pada kabel LAN sehingga belum mampu mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran secara optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode PPDIOO berhasil meningkatkan kualitas jaringan internet di SMP Negeri Neonbat. Perancangan jaringan menggunakan topologi star dengan perangkat Mikrotik, switch, dan access point yang ditempatkan pada titik strategis sehingga jangkauan jaringan menjadi lebih luas dan merata. Selain itu, diterapkan manajemen bandwidth menggunakan metode PCQ dan Simple Queue untuk membagi akses internet secara adil antara guru dan siswa. Hasil pengujian jaringan menunjukkan konektivitas berjalan dengan baik dan stabil, dengan kecepatan download jaringan siswa mencapai 33,75 Mbps dan upload 18,74 Mbps, sedangkan jaringan guru mencapai download 34,43 Mbps dan upload 45,68 Mbps. Hasil ini membuktikan metode PPDIOO mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan konektifitas di SMP Negeri Neonbat.
