Peran Teknologi Blockchain dalam Meningkatkan Keamanan dan Akuntabilitas Data Di Perpustakaan: Potensi dan Tantangan

Abstract


This study aims to investigate the role of blockchain technology in enhancing security and accountability of data in libraries. Using a Systematic Literature Review method, we collected literature from Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases published within the last 10 years. The research findings indicate that the utilization of blockchain technology has significant positive implications in the management and storage of data in libraries. Blockchain technology facilitates the integration of cutting-edge technology and reliable security systems, allowing for improved operational efficiency, data security, and access to scientific resources. Furthermore, blockchain can address challenges in traditional scholarly publishing by expediting the publication process, reducing costs, and ensuring transparency and global accessibility to scholarly works. However, there are still some challenges that need to be addressed, such as implementation costs, technical complexity, and adoption by library staff and users. This study highlights the importance of comprehensive evaluation of the potential and challenges of implementing blockchain technology in the context of libraries.
