Tata Kelola Layanan Perpustakaan Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika dalam Menunjang Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract


This research aims to identify, analyze and explain in depth the management of services at the Mandalika University of Education Library in supporting the Tridharma of Higher Education. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, by providing a description of the management of the Mandalika University of Education library services. The subjects of the research are the head of the library, staff and users, and the object of the research is the management of library services. The analysis technique is carried out through three activities that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: 1) The governance management carried out by the Mandalika Education University Library is divided into two services, namely technical services and user services; 2) Technical services consist of planning, collection development, collection processing, and collection preservation through restoration. Meanwhile, user services consist of circulation services and reference services; 3) The obstacles faced in implementing service management in libraries are government policies that are always changing, lack of qualified human resources, lack of innovation and budget assistance from internal library institutions. Based on the research findings, it can be seen that the management of library services at the Mandalika University of Education Library can still be said to be not optimal and not in accordance with existing theory, so there needs to be improvements and further research to be able to find out developments in the form of policies and innovations in the services provided to user.
