Meningkatkan Kemampuan Akademik dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Sekolah Dasar dengan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Sederhana

Abstract


Pendidikan di tingkat sekolah dasar memiliki peran krusial dalam membentuk fondasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa. Namun, tantangan muncul dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan mengembangkan kemampuan kritis mereka. Metode pembelajaran konvensional cenderung kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dan kurang menantang bagi mereka. Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek atau Project Based Learning (PBL) menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih interaktif dan praktis, memungkinkan siswa untuk terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran yang bermakna dan relevan dengan kehidupan mereka. Studi ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) untuk mengeksplorasi potensi PBL sederhana dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik dan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV di SDN 1 Montong Terep, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi observasi dan tes, dengan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi PBL sederhana secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan akademik siswa pada siklus kedua. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan dalam partisipasi, kerjasama, dan kepercayaan diri siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, PBL sederhana efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga tentang potensi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek sederhana dalam meningkatkan pendidikan di tingkat dasar.
