Pendidikan Demokrasi Bagi Pemilih Pemula untuk Mewujudkan Pemilu yang LUBER JURDIL
Abstract
Pemilihan Umum merupakan sebuah pesta demokrasi yang merupakan salah satu pilar utama dari proses akumulasi kehendak masyarakat. Pemilu ini diadakan selama 5 (lima) tahun sekali adapun pemilu mendatang akan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2024 mendatang. Jumlah pemilih dalam pemilu terus bertambah seiring dengan waktu, pada tahun mendatang terdapat sejumlah pemilih pemula yang akan berpartisipasi dalam pemilu baik pemilu serentak maupun pilkada serentak. Metode pelaksanan kegiatan berupa penyuluhan edukasi pada pemilih pemula mengenai urgensi keberadaan pemilu di Indonesia dan upaya mewujudkan asas pemilihan umum Langsung, Umum, Bebas, dan Rahasia, Jujur dan Adil. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan siswa mengenai asas-asas dalam pemilu, termasuk pada konstensasi pemilu tahun 2024 akan melaksanaan pemilihan pemilihan umum serentak untuk memilih DPR, DPD, Presiden/Wakil Presiden, dan Anggota DPRD. Harapan dari diadakannya edukasi ini adalah untuk menekan angka pemilih pemula yang tidak melakukan pemilu di Indonesia sebagai perwujudan negara demokrasi yang berkembang.

Abstract: The General Election is a democratic party which is one of the main pillars of the process of gathering the will of the people. This election is held every 5 (five) years, while the next election will be held in 2024. The number of voters in elections continues to increase over time, in the coming year there will be a number of first-time voters who will participate in elections, both simultaneous elections and simultaneous regional elections. The method of implementing the activity is in the form of educational outreach to novice voters regarding the urgency of elections in Indonesia and efforts to realize direct, general, free and secret, honest and fair general elections. The results of the activities obtained were that there was an increase in students' knowledge regarding the principles of elections, including that in the 2024 election constituencies there will be simultaneous general elections to elect DPR, DPD, President/Vice President, and DPRD members. The hope of holding this education is to reduce the number of first-time voters who do not take part in elections in Indonesia to stimulate a developing democratic country.
