Jurnal Agrotek Ummat is a peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram and published four times a year (January, April, July & October). The following are the standards of ethical behaviour used in the publication of articles in this journal in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Journal Agrotek Ummat Editors. This Code of Ethics is expected to be followed by all parties involved in the publication, namely authors, journal managers (editors), reviewers and publishers.

Publication decision

The editor determines the publication process and integrates the functions of authors, reviewers and journal managers to publish good and trustworthy journals. The editor is responsible for deciding whether or not to publish the article submitted to the journal. The editor refers to the journal's editorial policy, which is limited by legal requirements such as libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may consult with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Editors work on the basis of ethical principles and standards as follows:

1. Fair process

Editors will evaluate script content based on their expertise, regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

2. Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff may not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the author, reviewers, other editorial consultants, and the publisher.

Any text received by a reviewer must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts must not be displayed or discussed with others unless authorised by the Editor.

3. Avoid conflicts of interest

Material not published in a submitted text may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author. Confidential information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers do not have to consider texts where they have a conflict of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with one of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the text.

4. Reviewer Duties

Reviewers are tasked with critically examining the substance of scientific research work in accordance with their expertise. Reviewers are tasked with providing input on the decision of the Editorial Team regarding the feasibility of a text to be published. Peer reviews help editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with the author can also help writers to improve the quality of the articles they compile.

5. Accuracy

Every reviewer chosen but feels he is not eligible to review the manuscript provided by the editor or at all beyond his competence must immediately reject and not carry out the review process. If you know other experts who are more suitable, you can recommend an editor to ask the expert as a sustainable partner.

6. Standard Objectivity

The process of reviewing the manuscript must be done objectively. The author's personal criticism is an inappropriate thing to do. Reviewers must provide their views clearly and be accompanied by supporting arguments.

7. Statement of Sources

Reviewers must identify other relevant works that have not been quoted by the author. Each statement that is the result of observation, derivation, or an argument that has been used previously must be accompanied by a relevant quote. Reviewers must also consider the existence of substantial similarities or overlaps between the texts being considered and other published papers. Appropriate recognition of the work of others must always be given. Authors must cite publications that influence the determination of the nature of their research.

8. Duties of the Author

Reporting Standards

Authors of original research reports must present accurate reports of research and studies conducted. The data taken must be written accurately in the research report. Manuscripts must be detailed and have sufficient references to enable others to refer well. Counterfeiting Reports or intentionally inaccurate behavior is unethical and unacceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors must ensure that they have written the original work entirely, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others, they must quote it correctly in accordance with the applicable rules. A writer should not publish a text that describes the same foundation of research in more than one journal or major publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical publishing and unacceptable.

Script Writing

Authorship must be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research reported. All people who have made significant contributions must be registered as writers. People who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project must be recognized or registered as contributors.

The authors must ensure that all member writers are included in the text, and all authors must have examined and approved the final version of the text and have agreed to be published.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the published text, it is the duty of the author to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to withdraw or correct the text.
