Studi Penggunaan Obat Pada Pasien Osteoarthritis Usia Lanjut di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Provinsi NTB Periode 2019
Abstract

ABSTRACT
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease in the joints that can occur in the waist and knees. This study aims to determine the profile of osteoarthritis patients, therapeutic profiles and to regulate therapeutic management in accordance with existing guidelines, namely the American College of Rheumatollogy (ACR). This research uses observational method with categorical descriptive research type. Data collection was performed retrospectively on the patient's medical records using a data collection sheet. The results showed more osteoarthritis in women with elderly (60-74) years, of which 43.83% of patients were categorized as obese. Osteoarthritis is most common in housewives where osteoarthritis is most common in the knees due to heavy. The most common treatment using NSAIDs is oral meloxicam 49.31%. Treatment using meloxicam is in accordance with ACR guidelines while meloxicam is one of the main drugs for osteoarthritis due to the least side effects on the gastrointestinal tract compared with other NSAIDs.
