Pembinaan Karakter Kepemimpinan Pada Organisasi Resimen Mahasiswa Universitas Mataram
Abstract
Kepemimpinan mahasiswa merupakan salhh satu kompetensi yang perlu dibentuk melalui organisasi kemahasiswaan. Resimen Mahasiswa (Menwa) Universitas Mataram menjadi salah satu wadah strategis dalam upaya pembinaan karakter kepemimpinan berbasis kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pembinaan karakter kepemimpinan yang diterapkan di Menwa Unram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari pengurus organisasi dan senior alumni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat strategi utama dalam pembinaan karakter kepemimpinan yaitu: pembinaan mental dan fisik, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi, latihan kepemimpinan melalui pendelegasian tugas, serta penanaman nilai disiplin. Faktor pendukung mencakup dukungan institusional, peran aktif senior dan alumni, serta ketersediaan fasilitas organisasi. Adapun faktor hambtan yang dihadapi meliputi rendahnya partisipasi anggota aktif serta benturan jadwal kegiatan dengan jadwal kuliah. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan karakter kepemimpinan di Menwa Unram bersifat kontekstual dan berbasis pengalaman langsung yang berperan dalam membentuk kader pemimpin mahasiswa yang berintegritas, tangguh, dan bertanggung jawab.
Student leadership is one pf the essential competencies that needs to be developed through student organization. The Student Regiment (Menwa) at the University of Mataram serves as a strategic platform for fostering leadership character based on discipline and responsibility. This study aims to describe the strategies for leadership character development implemented within the student regiment (Menwa) at the University of Mataram. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants consist of current organizational administrator and senior alumni. The findings reveal four main strategies: mental and physical training, enhancement of communication skills, leadership practice through task delegation, and the inculcation of discipline values. The supporting include institutional support, the active role of seniors alumni, and the availability of adequate organizational facilities. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include low partipation of active members and scheduling conflicts between organizational activies and academic responsibilities. The study concludes that leadership character development in Menwa Unram is contextual and ground in direc experience, playing a vital role in shaping students leaders who are resilient, responsible, and uphold integrity.
