PEMBEKALAN WISUDAWAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MATARAM: LANGKAH AWAL MENUJU DUNIA KERJA
Abstract
Abstrak: Pembekalan wisudawan merupakan langkah strategis dalam mempersiapkan lulusan menghadapi dunia kerja yang semakin kompetitif. Artikel ini membahas peran Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram (UMMAT) dalam membekali calon wisudawan dengan keterampilan dan wawasan yang dibutuhkan untuk memasuki pasar kerja. Melalui program pembekalan, peserta mendapatkan pelatihan tentang pengembangan karir, peningkatan soft skills, serta strategi adaptasi di lingkungan profesional. Kegiatan ini juga menghadirkan praktisi industri sebagai narasumber untuk memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai tantangan dan peluang di dunia kerja. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa pembekalan wisudawan dapat meningkatkan kesiapan dan kepercayaan diri lulusan dalam menghadapi proses rekrutmen serta membangun jenjang karir yang berkelanjutan. Dengan adanya sinergi antara kampus dan dunia industri, diharapkan lulusan UMMAT dapat lebih mudah beradaptasi dan berkontribusi dalam berbagai bidang profesi.
Abstract: Graduate briefing is a strategic step in preparing graduates to face the increasingly competitive world of work. This article discusses the role of Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram (UMMAT) in equipping prospective graduates with the skills and insights needed to enter the job market. Through the briefing program, participants receive training on career development, improving soft skills, and adaptation strategies in a professional environment. This activity also presents industry practitioners as resource persons to provide a real picture of the challenges and opportunities in the world of work. The results of this program show that graduate briefing can increase the readiness and self-confidence of graduates in facing the recruitment process and building a sustainable career ladder. With the synergy between the campus and the industrial world, it is hoped that UMMAT graduates can adapt more easily and contribute in various professional fields.
