EDUKASI SOSIALISASI PENCEGAHAN STUNTING DI MASA PANDEMI COVID 19 PADA IBU BALITA DI POSYANDU
Abstract
Abstrak: Selama pandemi Covid 19 terjadi penurunan kunjungan ibu ke layanan kesehatan akibat pembatasan jarak sosial. Kehilangan pekerjaan yang dialami kepala keluarga akibat dirumahkan berpengaruh dalam mengkonsumsi makanan yang berkualitas sehingga mempengaruhi tumbuh kembang anak akibat kekurangan makanan yang bergizi. Jika dibiarkan maka anak yang kekurangan gizi akan berisiko mengalami stunting. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu yang mempunyai balita tentang stunting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Posyandu Tunas Baru Desa Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan pengukuran tinggi badan dan berat badan balita, lalu dilanjutkan dengan edukasi tentang stunting, dan terakhir ditutup dengan diskusi serta tanya jawab tentang materi yang telah disampaikan. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang stunting dari 50% menjaadi 95% yang terlihat dari antusias ibu-ibu dalam mendengarkan materi, memberikan pertanyaan dan adanya keinginan untuk menerapkan perilaku pemberian makanan yang bergizi serta perawatan yang baik kepada balita.
Abstract: During pandemic covid-19, drops in mother visits count to health care facility occurred due to social distancing. Head of the family losing job as the result of getting laid off and this impact nutritious food consumption, hence children’s growth got affected by poor nutrition. If no measures are being taken, children will vulnerable to stunting. The aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge of stunting to mothers which caring a child. This activity is held in Posyandu Tunas Baru Desa Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang. Method of activity execution started with measuring children’s body weight, followed by stunting education, and ended with discussion regarding the presented material. The outcome of this activity is, observed increase in mothers knowledge in regards to stunting, from 50% to 95% which is seen from audience enthusiasm when presented with materials, asking questions throughout the activity, and willing to apply the habit of feeding nutritious food and treating the children with care.
