Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode College Ball Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa
Abstract
Abstract: This study aimed to see how the college ball method affected eighth-grade students' critical thinking skills and tolerance attitudes at SMPN 1 Bolo during the 2020/2021 academic year. The quasi-experimental design research method was used. In this study, questionnaires, tests, and documentation were used to collect data. The MANOVA test was used to analyze the data. This study concludes that the value of t-count (3.395) > t-table (1.692) indicates that using the college ball method has an effect on the critical thinking skills of grade VIII SMPN 1 Bolo students in the 2020/2021 academic year. The value of t-count (3.237) > t-table (1.692) indicates that using the college ball method has a positive effect on the social attitudes of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Bolo in the 2020/2021 academic year. The F-test results show that the value of the F-count (40.926) is greater than the value of the F-table (4.120), indicating that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that using the college ball method has an effect on the critical thinking skills and social attitudes of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Bolo in the 2020/2021 academic year.
Abstrak: Pentingnya suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, maka penerapan metode college ball diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap toleransi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode college ball terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap toleransi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bolo Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi experiment design. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa nilai thitung (3,395) > ttabel (1,692), hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan metode college ball terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bolo Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Nilai thitung (3,237) > ttabel (1,692), hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan metode college ball terhadap sikap sosial siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bolo Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Hasil uji F diperoleh nilai Fhitung (40,926) > Ftabel (4,120) maka hipotesis diterima, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan metode college ball terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap sosial siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bolo Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021.
