Author Guidelines

Article written for Selaparang : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Berkemajuan, published the results of research and the use of technology to be implemented in the community, including: (1). science fields: MIPA (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Humanities, Social, Law, Culture, Economy, Health, Forestry, Environment, Engineering, Fishery, Animal Husbandry, Food, and Agriculture (2). Training and improvement of educational outcomes; and (3) development of ICT (Information, Communication and Technology).

 

Format :

  1. The manuscript is typed in Arial, size 10 pts, with 1.0 spaces, on A4 paper 5-10 pages long, with the provision of a margin of 2.5 cm in the upper margin, 2.5 cm in the lower margin, 2.5 cm in the left margin, and 2.5 cm in the right margin. With a double column format
  2. The file was created with a high concocted in Microsoft Word format (doc/docx extension). The author's name was included without an academic degree and placed under the title of the article.
  3. Authors must include the agency's address and e-mail to provide communication.
  4. All section and sub-section headings are bold.
  5. Research article on research results: title; author's name (without academic degree); Abstract (maximum 200 words) containing the objectives, methods, and results of research; keywords; introduction (without title) which contains background, a little library limitation, research objectives, methods; meeting; conclusions and suggestions; aknowledgement; bibliography (only Resources referenced).
  6. Abstract research manuscript in English and Indonesian, abstract research must contain the title, objectives, methods, and research findings.
  7. The manuscript should be written in good Indonesian.
  8. The manuscript must follow the Article's template of the manuscript.

 

Article Structure:

1. Title
The title must be brief, clear, maximum of 14 words with a capitalized Each Word. The font is using: Arial size 12, in bold, and in center text.

2. Author's name, institution, country, and email address.
The author's name (without academic degree), name of institution, country and email address are written under the article title. When the script is written by a team, the editor only deals with the first author or corresponding author. 

3. Abstract
This section contains the background of the problem, solutions, activity objectives, methods/approaches, partners and the number of participants involved, activity results, and conclusions. The abstract is presented at the beginning of the manuscript and the presentation is approximately 150 to 200 words (in English and Indonesian). The abstract is approximately followed by keywords of 3 to 5 words. 

4. Introduction
This section describes the background of issues as well as the urgency and rationalization of the community activity. This section also describes the aims and contributions of community activity and organization of an article.

5. Methods
This section describes the time and location of the community activity, the implementation method, partners and the number of participants involved, determine the activity steps, which include the preparation stage, the activity implementation stage, and the monitoring and evaluation stage.


6. Result and Discussion
This section presents community activity results based on the activity steps formulated in the method section. The discussion section is describing data processing results, interpreting the findings logically, linking with the relevant referral sources and explains the findings of obstacles during the implementation of community service activities.


7. Conclusion
The conclusion contains a brief summary of the community activity results and discussion which answers the community activity objectives.

 

Tables and Figures :
Tables are typed with single line spacing, with the initial and end horizontal line (table subtitle), without a vertical line. Tables are numbered sequentially from one.  Figures must be prepared in printable.

 

References :
The reference list format is based on APA (American Psychological Association) style. The reference list should appear at the end of the article and includes only literature actually cited in the manuscripts. References are ordered alphabetically and chronologically. It is suggested to apply reference software like Mendeley, Zotero or Endnote. The minimum number of references is 15 references, with a minimum of 80% coming from journals/proceedings.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format, not in Pdf format
  3. The submission file using a good and correct Selaparang Template
  4. The submission file has at least 10-15 references, the last 10 years publication and using Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote application in writing reference
  5. The submission file has maximum file size of 2 MB
 

Copyright Notice

The copyright of the received article shall be assigned to the journal as the publisher of the journal. The intended copyright includes the right to publish the article in various forms (including reprints). The journal maintains the publishing rights to the published articles.
