PENGUATAN LITERASI TERHADAP PRODUK HALAL DAN SERTIFIKASI HALAL

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Indonesia adalah salah satu Negara yang memiliki jumlah penduduk Muslim terbesar di dunia. The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre  (RISSC) melaporkan diperkirakan jumlah penduduk Muslim sekitar 237,56 juta jiwa atau sekitar 86, 7% dari total seluruh penduduk Indonesia. Adanya UU no 33 tahun 2014 tentang jaminan produk halal berimplikasi pada konsumen dimana halal merupakan faktor penting yang dipertimbangkan oleh seorang konsumen. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan memberikan penguatan literasi pentingnya produk halal, dan sertifikasi halal. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceraman dan diskusi. Mitra pengabdian adalah SMPN 3 Grogol Kediri. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan adalah perwakilan kelas VII VIII dan IX sejumlah 35 siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa siswa-siswi di SMP Negeri 3 Grogol sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hall ini ditunjukkan dengan banyaknya siswa-siswi yang bertanya dan memberikan pendapatnya dan aktif dalam diskusi terkait dengan pengalaman siswa-siswi pada saat mengkonsumsi produk halal maupun pengetahuan sertifikasi halal. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memperkaya pengetahuan dan penguatan pemahaman siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 3 Grogol terhadap produk halal dan sertifikasi halal.

ABSTRACT

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in the world. The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center (RISSC) reports that the estimated Muslim population is around 237.56 million people or around 86.7% of the total population of Indonesia. The existence of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning halal product guarantees has implications for consumers where halal is an important factor to be considered by a consumer. Community service activities aims to strengthen literacy on the importance of halal products and halal certification. The method used is lecture and discussion. The service patner is SMPN 3 Grogol Kediri. Participants who took part in the activity were representatives of class VII, VIII, dan IX totaling 35 students. The results of the service showed that students at SMPN 3 Grogol Kediri were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. This hall is demonstrated by the large number of students who ask questions and give their opinions and are active in discussion related students' experiences when consuming halal products and knowledge of halal certification. The conclusion of the service activity is to enrich the knowledge and strengthen the understanding of students at SMP Negeri 3 Grogol regarding halal products and halal certification.
