Pemberdayaan kader untuk menurunkan beban yang dirasakan oleh caregiver lansia melalui meditasi dan yoga

Dalam menjalani kehidupan dan pencapaian kualitas hidup yang baik pada lansia, perlu adanya bantuan yang cukup dari keluarga maupun caregiver yang merawat lansia tersebut. Keadaan tersebut seringkali dapat menimbulkan beban yang dirasakan caregiver lansia baik dari segi beban psikologis maupun fisik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kemampuan caregiver lansia tentang pengelolaan dan menurunkan beban baik psikologis maupun fisik. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini yakni kader posyandu lansia di RW 1 yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Sukoharjo, Kec. Klojen. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah edukasi dan pelatihan dengan 3 tahap yaitu : tahap persiapan terdiri atas perijinan dan persiapan materi, tahap pelaksanaan terdiri atas edukasi dan pelatihan yoga dan meditasi, dan tahap evaluasi terdiri atas evaluasi hasil dan proses. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan caregiver lansia tentang pengelolaan beban psikologis dan fisik yang mulanya 41% setelah diberikan edukasi meningkat menjadi 72%, sedangkan untuk meditasi dan yoga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 78% dan 75%. Meskipun belum mencapai 100%, namun angka persentase sudah menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan terkait pengetahuan caregiver lansia tentang pengelolaan beban. Dengan dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan kader posyandu lansia yang telah diberikan edukasi mengenai yoga dan meditasi mampu menyalurkan ilmu yang telah diberikan kepada para caregiver yang berada di lingkungan RW 1 tentang pengelolaan beban psikologis dan fisik.

Abstract

In living a life and achieving a good quality of life in the elderly, there needs to be sufficient help from both the family and caregivers who care for the elderly. These conditions can often cause the burden felt by elderly caregivers both in terms of psychological and physical burden. The goal of this activity is to increase the knowledge and abilities of elderly caregivers about management and reduce both psychological and physical burdens. Partners in this activity are elderly posyandu cadres in RW 1 located in Sukoharjo Village, Kec. Clojen. The methods used in this activity are education and training with three stages: preparation stage consists of licensing and material preparation, implementation stage consists of yoga and meditation education and training, and evaluation stage consists of evaluation of results and processes. The results of this activity showed that there was an increase in elderly caregiver knowledge about psychological and physical burden management, which was 41% after education increased to 72%, while for meditation and yoga there was an increase of 78% and 75%. Although it has not reached 100%, the percentage figure has shown a significant improvement regarding the elderly caregiver's knowledge of load management. With this devotion activity, it is hoped that the elderly posyandu cadres who have been given education on yoga and meditation will be able to channel the knowledge that has been given to caregivers in RW 1 environment about psychological and physical burden management.
