Penanaman mangrove sebagai upaya pelestarian wilayah pesisir di Negeri Seruawan, Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat

Aktivitas antropogenik serta kurangnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya komunitas mangrove di wilayah pesisir, dapat menyebabkan rusaknya komunitas mangrove di pesisir Negeri Seruawan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yaitu untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang pentingya keberadaan komunitas mangrove pada wilayah pesisir dan melakukan upaya pengelolaan wilayah pesisir melalui kegiatan penanaman mangrove. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu tahapan persiapan, tahapan pelaksanaan dan tahapan evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan aksi penanaman mangrove. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 70 peserta yang merupakan masyarakat dari Negeri Seruawan yang didominasi oleh para generasi muda, serta para pemuda dan pemudi tim kolaborasi. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan para peserta menunjukkan antusias yang sangat tinggi, terlihat dari kehadiran dan pertanyaan yang diberikan pada saat kegiatan penyuluhan berlangsung, Kemudian juga peran serta aktif para peserta dapat terlihat pada aksi penanaman mangrove. Hasil kegiatan monitoring yang dilakukan selama 10 bulan menunjukkan tingkat keberhasilan penanaman pada area penanaman I sebesar 92,86%, dan kondisi sebaliknya yang terjadi pada area penanaman II dengan tingkat keberhasilan yang masih sangat rendah karena faktor lingkungan seperti gelombang besar. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini juga dapat terlihat dari peran serta aktif masyarakat Negeri Seruawan yang masih terus menjaga dan merawat pertumbuhan dari setiap anakan yang ditanam dan populasi tumbuhan mangrove yang telah ada sebelumnya.

Abstract
Anthropogenic activities and a lack of public knowledge and awareness of the importance of mangrove communities in coastal areas can cause damage to mangrove communities on the coast of Seruawan village. This community service activity aims to provide an understanding of the importance of mangrove communities in coastal areas and to make efforts to manage coastal areas through mangrove planting activities. Activities are carried out through several stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The methods used are counselling and mangrove planting actions. This service activity was attended by 70 participants from Seruawan village, who were dominated by the younger generation, as well as young men and women from collaboration teams. The results of the extension activities went well, and the participants showed very high enthusiasm, as seen from the presence and questions asked during the extension activities. Then, the active participation of the participants could also be seen in the mangrove planting action. The results of monitoring activities carried out for 10 months showed that the success rate of planting in planting area I was 92.86%, and the opposite condition occurred in planting area II, with the success rate still being very low due to environmental factors such as large waves. The success of this activity can also be seen from the active participation of the people of Seruawan village, who continue to maintain and care for the growth of each sapling planted, as well as the population of mangrove plants that previously existed.
