Peningkatan pemahaman pergaulan sehat pada remaja melalui program psikoedukasi pengelolaan hubungan dengan lawan jenis di SMK Negeri 2 Gedangsari

Masa remaja merupakan tahapan periode perkembangan yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya ketertarikan terhadap lawan jenis. Namun, tidak semua remaja memiliki kesiapan emosional dan pemahaman yang memadai untuk membangun hubungan interpersonal yang sehat, sehingga berisiko mengalami berbagai permasalahan psikososial. Hasil asesmen awal di SMK Negeri 2 Gedangsari menunjukkan masih terbatasnya pemahaman siswa mengenai batasan dalam hubungan, tingginya pengaruh teman sebaya, serta adanya kasus kehamilan remaja yang berdampak pada keberlanjutan pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan program psikoedukasi mengenai pengelolaan hubungan dengan lawan jenis yang bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam membangun hubungan yang sehat dan bertanggung jawab. Kegiatan pemberdayaan ini dilaksanakan pada Selasa, 13 Januari 2026 di SMK Negeri 2 Gedangsari yang berlokasi di Desa Hargomulyo, Kecamatan Gedangsari, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kegiatan melibatkan 31 siswa kelas X dan XI dari tiga program keahlian. Metode pemberdayaan yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi (ceramah), diskusi kelompok interaktif, analisis studi kasus, dan refleksi di akhir sesi. Program dilaksanakan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi kelompok interaktif, analisis studi kasus, dan refleksi di akhir sesi serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji Shapiro–Wilk, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, dan analisis N-Gain. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor pemahaman yang signifikan setelah mengikuti psikoedukasi (W = 55,5; p = 0,035) dengan effect size yang tergolong besar (r = 0,776). Berdasarkan hasil analisis N-Gain, peningkatan pemahaman peserta berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang, di mana sebanyak 12,9% peserta mencapai kategori tinggi (), 38,7% kategori sedang (), dan 48,4% kategori rendah ().. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program psikoedukasi efektif menjadi salah satu program dalam upaya promotif dan preventif pada meningkatkan pemahaman remaja mengenai pengelolaan hubungan dengan lawan jenis secara sehat dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Adolescence is a developmental stage characterized by a growing interest in the opposite sex. However, not all adolescents possess the emotional readiness and adequate understanding to build healthy interpersonal relationships, placing them at risk of various psychosocial issues. An initial assessment at SMK Negeri 2 Gedangsari revealed limited student understanding regarding relationship boundaries, strong peer influence, and instances of teenage pregnancy affecting educational continuity. Consequently, a psychoeducation program on managing relationships with the opposite sex was implemented to enhance students' understanding of building healthy and responsible relationships. This community empowerment program was conducted on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at SMK Negeri 2 Gedangsari, located in Hargomulyo Village, Gedangsari District, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The activity involved 31 students from grades X and XI across three vocational specialization programs. The empowerment methods utilized included material presentation (lectures), interactive group discussions, case study analysis, and end-of-session reflection. The program was carried out through material presentation, interactive group discussions, case study analysis, and end-of-session reflection, alongside evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests analyzed with descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk test, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, and N-Gain analysis. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in understanding scores following the psychoeducation (; ) with a large effect size (). Based on the N-Gain analysis, the improvement in participants' understanding was in the low-to-moderate categories, with 12.9% of participants achieving the high category (), 38.7% the moderate category (), and 48.4% the low category (). These findings demonstrate that the psychoeducation program is effective as a promotional and preventive intervention to improve adolescents' understanding of managing relationships with the opposite sex in a healthy and responsible manner.
