PENDAMPINGAN IDENTIFIKASI POTENSI WISATA DALAM MENDUKUNG TATA KELOLA DESTINASI WISATA DI KOTA MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Kota Mojokerto sebagai daerah otonom yang terletak tidak jauh dari Surabaya Ibukota Provinsi Jawa Timur menyimpan berbagai berbagai potensi wisata diantaranya adalah wisata sejarah, wisata edukasi, wisata alam, wisata kuliner, dan masih banyak lagi potensi lainnya yang masih tersimpan. Potensi ini masih membutuhkan peran serta dari pemerintah daerah dengan dukungan masyarakat agar dapat menjadi destinasi wisata yang layak jual guna memberikan kesejahteran bagi masyarakat Kota Mojokerto. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada masyarakat dalam hal ini kepada lembaga atau komunitas untuk mengidentifikasi potensi destinasi wisata yang disesuaikan dengan indikator agar layak dikunjungi oleh wisatawan lokal Mojokerto ataupun dari berbagai kota di Jawa Timur. Pelaksana dari kegiatan ini adalah tim dosen dari Universitas Mayjen Sungkono bekerjasama denga Disporabudpar Kota Mojokerto. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada tanggal 08-17 September 2020. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan berbagai temuan dilapangan bahwa masih banyak potensi wisata yang harus digarap secara bersama oleh Pemerintah Kota Mojokerto dengan didukung oleh masyarakat sekitar. Beberapa potensi destinasi tersebut telah dapat diidentifikasi dengan beberapa indikator seperti kelembagaan, perijinan, visi dan misi, profil wisata, grand design destinasi wisata, desain promosi, penegakan protokol kesehatan COVID-19, kampanye sapta pesona, manajemen administrasi, dan dukungan aksesibilitas. Hasil identifikasi dari dengan beberapa indikator tersebut telah mampu menyajikan data tentang potensi wisata di Kota Mojokerto yang layak dan siap untuk dikunjungi oleh wisatawan lokal

ABSTRACT

Mojokerto City as an autonomous region located not far from Surabaya, the capital city of East Java Province, holds various kinds of tourism potential, including historical tourism, educational tourism, nature tourism, culinary tourism, and many other potentials that are still stored. This potential still requires the participation of the local government with the support of the community in order to become a tourist destination that is worth selling in order to provide welfare for the people of Mojokerto City. The purpose of this activity is to carry out this activity for the community in this case to the institution or community to identify the tourism potential they have, so that they are worthy of being visited by local tourists from Mojokerto or from various cities in East Java. The implementer of this activity is a team of lecturers from the University of Mayjen Sungkono who understands the Disporabudpar of Mojokerto City. This activity took at 08-17 September 2020. This activity resulted in various findings in the field including many tourism potentials that must be worked on jointly by the Mojokerto City Government supported by the surrounding community. Some of these potential destinations can be identified with several indicators such as institutions, licensing, vision and mission, tourism profiles, grand design of tourist destinations, promotional designs, enforcement of COVID-19 health protocols, Sapta Pesona campaigns, administrative management, and accessibility support. The results of these indicators are able to present initial data on tourism potential in Mojokerto are feasible and ready to be visited by local tourists.
