Determinasi Pengalaman Wisata Halal Generasi Z di Lombok: Peran Media Sosial, FoMO, dan Ulasan Online
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effects of social media, fear of missing out (FoMO), and online reviews on Generation Z’s halal tourism experiences in Lombok. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 115 Generation Z respondents who had traveled to Lombok. The results indicate that social media and online reviews have positive and significant effects on halal tourism experiences, whereas FoMO has no significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect halal tourism experiences, with a coefficient of determination of 60.6%, indicating that Generation Z’s halal tourism experiences can be explained by social media, FoMO, and online reviews, while the remaining variance is attributable to other factors outside the model. These findings suggest that Generation Z’s halal tourism experiences are influenced more strongly by digital information perceived as credible, particularly social media content and user-generated reviews, than by psychological motivations to follow tourism trends. This study implies that halal tourism destination managers should strengthen their digital promotion strategies and online review management to enhance the quality of young tourists’ experiences.
