Eksplorasi Konsep Moderasi dan Toleransi dalam Ajaran Kemuhammadiyahan: Implikasi untuk Harmoni Antaragama

Abstract


This research aims to explore the concepts of moderation and tolerance within the teachings of Kemuhammadiyahan and their implications for interreligious harmony. The research method employed is Systematic Literature Review, gathering literature from Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases with publications spanning from 2014-2023. The findings indicate that Kemuhammadiyahan teachings play a significant role in shaping religious identity and promoting peaceful coexistence amidst religious diversity. The concepts of religious moderation and tolerance, being the central focus of these teachings, provide a strong foundation in countering extremism, fostering inclusivity, and building harmony within society. Religious education based on Kemuhammadiyahan principles serves as the primary means to internalize the values of moderation and tolerance among students, with educational institutions and teachers playing vital roles in facilitating this process. The implications of this research can contribute significantly to strengthening the role of Kemuhammadiyahan teachings in building an inclusive, tolerant, and peaceful society, and serve as a basis for further research in exploring effective strategies to enhance understanding and acceptance of moderation and tolerance values among the public.
