APPLICATION OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS ASSISTED LUMEN5 VIDEO TO IMPROVE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IPAS PROJECT ON ENERGY ASPECTS AND ITS CHANGES

Abstract


A Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the learning outcomes of the Science Project for Class X A Automotive Engineering students in the 2023/2024 Academic Year at SMK Negeri 1 Puhpelem by using a problem-based learning model assisted by Lumen5 videos on the topic of energy and its changes. This CAR is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Formative assessments are conducted using tests for knowledge and observations for skills and attitudes. The final student achievement scores are based on the average of assessments in attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The research employs qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that the problem-based learning model with Lumen5 videos improves learning outcomes in the Science Project. In Cycle I, the achievement percentage for knowledge is 70%, increasing to 82% in Cycle II. The skills and attitude aspects in Cycle I both reached 100%, but cooperation indicators did not meet the Learning Objectives Achievement Criteria (KKTP) until Cycle II. Overall learning achievement improved from 70% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II.
