Diversification Of Eggplant-Based Products In The Aisyiyah Banguntapan Selatan Branch Group

Abstract

Aisyiyah is a women's movement of Muhammadiyah community organizations that has charitable efforts engaged in various fields, namely: education, health, social welfare, economics and community empowerment. Aisyiyah Banguntapan Selatan is one of the Aisyiyah organization branches in Banguntapan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Aisyiyah Banguntapan Selatan Branch currently focuses on improving women's economic capabilities in the home industry sector, especially the processing of local materials that do not last long. One local material that is not widely sought after as a business idea is eggplant chips. This Community Service aims to increase the knowledge of the Aisyiyah Banguntapan Selatan Branch Group regarding the diversification of eggplant processing which can later become an alternative business idea. Community service activities carried out include counseling on the nutritional value of eggplant and diversification of eggplant processing. In addition, the community service team also conducted training activities on making eggplant chips and their packaging. From this community service activity, partners are able to select quality raw materials and are able to process eggplant chips products with appropriate packaging so as to improve the quality and shelf life of the eggplant chips produced. This is expected to provide an alternative processing business idea and boost the economy of the Aisyiyah South Banguntapan Branch.
