Abstract

Abstrak: Stunting merupakan kekurangan gizi akibat infeksi kronis pada anak. Dampak kedepan anak dengan stunting dapat menganggu produktifitas dan satus sosial ekonomi. Tujuan dilaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat adalah agar kader dapat mengetahui tentang stunting dan dapat menerapkan pencegahaan stunting pada ibu yang mempunyai balita. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan apersepsi kader tentang stunting kepada 43 orang kader posyandu dan dilanjutkan dengan pre tes sebanyak 15 soal sebagai evaluasi awal yang bertempat di Kelurahan Rumbai Bukit Kecamatan Rumbai Barat. Setelah sesi edukasi stunting lalu diakhiri dengan tanya jawab dan diskusi tentang materi yang tidak di pahami. Kegiatan ini telah terlaksana dengan baik dimana 95% kader dapat memahami edukasi yang diberikan yang terlihat dari antusias dan beberapa pertanyaan yang diajukan kader dan keinginan untuk menerapkan kepada ibu ibu yang mempunyai balita.

Abstract: Stunting is malnutrition due to chronic infections in children. The future impact of children with stunting can disrupt productivity and socio-economic status. The aim of carrying out community service is so that casres can know about stunting and can implement stunting prevention for mothers with toddlers. The method of implementing the activity began with a cadre apperception about stunting to 43 posyandu cadres and continued with a pre-test of 15 questions ad an initial evaluation which took place in Rumbai Bukit Village, West Rumbai District. After the stunting education session, it ended with questions and answer and discussion about material that was not understood. This activity was carried out well where able to understand the education provided as seen from the enthusiasm and several questions asked by the cadres and the desire to apply it to mothers who have toddlers.
