Abstract

Abstrak: Jumlah penyintas bencana yang beresiko mengalami gangguan kesehatan mental jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan jumlah tenaga profesional kesehatan mental. Relawan bencana Muhammadiyah, memiliki potensial menjadi pemberi PFA di lokasi bencana jika memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan memberikan PFA. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman relawan RLB Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Gowa mengenai dukungan psikologis awal atau PFA. Metode kegiatan berupa ceramah dan presentasi menggunakan media powerpoint dan simulasi keterampilan melakukan PFA. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 relawan. Evaluasi pengetahuan relawan dilakukan dengan cara pemberian kuisioner pre test dan post test. Hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebesar 70% berpengetahuan baik dan 30% memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah diberikan edukasi mengenai PFA.

Abstract: The number of disaster survivors who are at risk of experiencing mental health disorders is far greater than the number of mental health professionals. Muhammadiyah disaster volunteers have the potential to become PFA providers at disaster locations if they have the knowledge and skills to provide PFA. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of Gowa Regency Muhammadiyah RLB volunteers regarding initial psychological support or PFA. The activity method is in the form of lectures and presentations using PowerPoint media and simulations of PFA skills. This activity was attended by 20 volunteers. Evaluation of volunteers' knowledge is carried out by administering pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The post test results showed an increase in participants' knowledge by 70% with good knowledge and 30% with sufficient knowledge. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge after being given education about PFA.
