PENGUATAN PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PENCEGAHAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL PADA ANAK DISABILITAS INTELEKTUAL

ABSTRAK

Anak dengan disabilitas intelektual menghadapi kerentanan terhadap kekerasan seksual akibat hambatan kognitif, komunikasi, dan pemahaman sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan menguatkan kapasitas peran orang tua dalam mendukung perlindungan diri anak. Program dilaksanakan di SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo pada 15 Maret 2026 dan melibatkan 47 orang tua. Rangkaian kegiatan mencakup pretest, edukasi selama 60 menit menggunakan booklet, diskusi interaktif, pendampingan melalui WhatsApp selama satu minggu, dan posttest. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner peran orang tua 10 butir dengan skala Likert lima poin. Proporsi peserta pada kategori peran baik meningkat secara deskriptif dari 51,1% (24 orang) menjadi 78,7% (37 orang), atau 27,6 poin persentase. Seluruh distribusi sebelum dan sesudah masing-masing mencakup 47 respons, tetapi data pasangan individual tidak tersedia sehingga uji inferensial dan atribusi kausal tidak dilakukan. Program ini menunjukkan perubahan deskriptif yang mendukung kelayakan edukasi berbasis sekolah dan pendampingan singkat bagi orang tua. Evaluasi berikutnya perlu menggunakan instrumen dengan bukti psikometrik yang dilaporkan, data berpasangan, dan kelompok pembanding.

ABSTRACT

Children with intellectual disabilities face heightened vulnerability to sexual violence because of cognitive, communication, and social-understanding barriers. This community service program aimed to strengthen parents' capacity to support their children's self-protection. The program was conducted at SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo on 15 March 2026 and involved 47 parents. Activities comprised a pretest, a 60-minute booklet-based education session, interactive discussion, one week of WhatsApp support, and a posttest. Evaluation used a 10-item parental-role questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The proportion of participants in the good-role category descriptively increased from 51.1% (24 parents) to 78.7% (37 parents), a 27.6-percentage-point change. Each pre- and post-program distribution included 47 responses; however, participant-level paired data were unavailable, precluding inferential testing and causal attribution. The descriptive shift supports the feasibility of school-based parent education with brief follow-up. Future evaluations should report psychometric evidence, retain paired observations, and include a comparison group.
