Pemberdayaan relawan dalam pemilahan sampah dan pembuatan sabun batang Eco-enzyme

Abstrak

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ditujukan kepada relawan Balakarcana untuk mengatasi masalah  sampah. Solusi yang dilakukan adalah mengedukasi dan mengajarkan cara memilah sampah rumah tangga, memanfaatkan sampah organik menjadi cairan eco-enzyme, dan sebagai bahan pembuatan sabun batang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah tanya jawab untuk pemberian edukasi tentang: pemilahan sampah, eco-enzyme dan pembuatan eco-enzyme, manfaat buah apel, dan prosedur pembuatan sabun; dilanjutkan kegiatan demonstrasi cara membuat eco-enzyme dan cara membuat sabun, serta re-demonstrasi yang diikuti oleh 15 relawan Balakarcana. Evaluasi peningkatan level dilakukan secara kognitif maupun secara psikomotor. Evaluasi kognitif dengan melakukan pretest diawal kegiatan dan post-test diakhir kegiatan untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pengetahuan relawan Balakarcana menggunakan 10 pernyataan benar/salah yang dilakukan skoring. Evaluasi peningkatan psikomotor dengan menggunakan checklist prosedur pembuatan eco-enzyme dan prosedur pembuatan sabun. Hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa pengetahuan relawan Balakarcana antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi meningkat sebesar 18%, dimana sebelum diberikan edukasi, rerata nilai pretest sebesar 73,33 dan setelah diberikan edukasi rerata nilai posttest menjadi 84,67%. Hasil evaluasi untuk ketrampilan relawan Balakarcana mampu melakukan dengan baik 100% semua tindakan sesuai SOP yang ada.

Abstract

Community service is aimed at Balakarcana volunteers to overcome the waste problem. The solution is to sort household waste and use organic waste to process it into eco-enzyme liquid, educate about the benefits and use of eco-enzymes, educate about the benefits and use of apples as ingredients for making soap, and educate and provide skills on how to make bar soap. The activity was carried out using a lecture method to provide education about: waste sorting, eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme production, the benefits of apples, and procedures for making soap; continued with demonstration activities on how to make eco-enzyme and how to make soap based on eco-enzyme liquid and apples, as well as a re-demonstration which 15 Balakarcana volunteers attended. Evaluation of increasing levels is carried out cognitively and psychomotorically. Cognitive evaluation by conducting a pretest at the beginning of the activity and a post-test at the end of the activity to evaluate the increase in knowledge of Balakarcana volunteers using 10 true/false statements which are scored. Evaluation of psychomotor improvement using a checklist of procedures for making eco-enzymes and procedures for making soap. The evaluation results showed that the knowledge of Balakarcana volunteers between before and after being given education increased by 18%, where before being given education, the average pretest score was 73.33 and after being given education the average posttest score was 84.67%. The evaluation results for the skills of Balakarcana volunteers were able to carry out 100% of all actions according to existing SOPs.
