Pelatihan pengembangan potensi remaja karang taruna dalam pembuatan profil karier digital (career portofolio and career mapping wall)

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui program KKN Tematik dengan tujuan meningkatkan potensi remaja Karang Taruna di Desa Ulapato B, Kecamatan Telaga Biru, Kabupaten Gorontalo dalam menyusun profil karier digital melalui career portofolio dan career mapping wall. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi remaja adalah rendahnya literasi karier, keterampilan digital yang masih terbatas, serta minimnya pemahaman mengenai pentingnya perencanaan masa depan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, kegiatan dirancang menggunakan pendekatan experiential learning dan edukasi partisipatif, yang meliputi pemetaan kebutuhan, pelatihan literasi karier, asesmen minat dan bakat berbasis teori Holland, workshop pembuatan CV digital dan portofolio karier, penyusunan career mapping wall, serta pelatihan personal branding melalui media sosial professional yaitu LinkedIn. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan remaja dalam mengenali potensi diri, membuat CV dan portofolio digital, serta menyusun rencana karier yang lebih sistematis. Selain itu, peserta mulai memanfaatkan media sosial profesional seperti LinkedIn untuk membangun citra diri positif. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kesiapan remaja dalam menghadapi dunia kerja, tetapi juga memperkuat peran Karang Taruna sebagai pusat pembinaan pemuda berbasis literasi digital. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan remaja di era digital sekaligus mendukung pengurangan angka pengangguran di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out through the Thematic KKN program with the aim of increasing the potencal of youth Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) in Ulapato B Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency, in developing digital career profiles through career portfolios and career mapping walls. The main problems faced by youth are low career literacy, limited digital skills, and a lack of understanding of the importance of future planning. To address these issues, the activity was designed using an experiential learning approach and participatory education, which included needs mapping, career literacy training, interest and talent assessments based on Holland's theory, workshops on creating digital CV and career portfolios, developing career mapping walls, and personal branding training through professional social media that is LinkedIn. The results of the activity showed an increase in the youth's ability to recognize their potential, create CVs and digital portfolios, and develop more systematic career plans. In addition, participants began utilizing professional social media such as LinkedIn to build a positive self-image. The impact of this activity not only increased the youth's self-confidence and readiness to face the world of work, but also strengthened the role of Karang Taruna as a center for youth development based on digital literacy. This program is expected to become a model for youth empowerment in the digital era while also supporting the reduction of unemployment rates among the younger generation.
