Pendampingan praktikum virtual IPA di MTs Alkhairaat Langaleso

Keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana laboratorium IPA di banyak sekolah berdampak pada minimnya pelaksanaan praktikum yang seharusnya menjadi komponen penting dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan praktikum virtual IPA kepada peserta didik MTs Alkhairaat Langaleso sebagai solusi atas keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium fisik. Mitra sasaran adalah seluruh peserta didik Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026 yang terlibat dalam kegiatan praktikum virtual, dengan 25 peserta dipilih secara acak untuk evaluasi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tiga tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan pendampingan menggunakan platform PhET Interactive Simulations pada materi zat dan perubahannya, tekanan zat cair, serta listrik dinamis, dan evaluasi menggunakan angket respon berskala Likert. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan respon sangat positif dengan skor rata-rata 3,31 dari skala 4,00. Aspek ketertarikan belajar mencapai kategori sangat baik (3,47), pemahaman materi kategori baik (3,19), motivasi belajar sangat baik (3,28), dan kemudahan penggunaan sangat baik (3,31). Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterlibatan, pemahaman konseptual, dan motivasi belajar peserta didik, sekaligus membuktikan efektivitas praktikum virtual sebagai alternatif pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dengan keterbatasan infrastruktur laboratorium.

Abstract
The limited availability of science laboratory facilities and infrastructure in many schools has resulted in minimal practicum implementation, which should be an essential component of learning. This community service activity aims to provide virtual science practicum assistance to students at MTs Alkhairaat Langaleso as a solution to the limitations of physical laboratory facilities. The target partners were all students in the 2025/2026 Academic Year involved in virtual practicum activities, with 25 students randomly selected for evaluation. The implementation method included three stages: preparation, implementation of assistance using the PhET Interactive Simulations platform on materials related to substances and their changes, liquid pressure, and dynamic electricity, and evaluation using a Likert scale response questionnaire. The results showed a highly positive response with an average score of 3.31 out of 4.00. The learning interest aspect achieved an excellent category (3.47), material understanding in good category (3.19), learning motivation excellent (3.28), and ease of use excellent (3.31). This activity successfully increased student engagement, conceptual understanding, and learning motivation, while proving the effectiveness of virtual practicum as an alternative for science learning in schools with limited laboratory infrastructure.
