Digitalisasi layanan posyandu melalui implementasi timbangan balita berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) di Kelurahan Bantan
Abstract

AbstratcLimitations in measuring tool accuracy and manual recording of toddler growth hinder the validation of developmental data at the primary care level. This Community Service (PkM) activity is oriented toward downstreaming Internet of Things (IoT)-based technology through the implementation of a digital toddler growth monitoring system at Posyandu Melati VII, Bantan Village, Medan Tembung District. The system integrates ultrasonic and load cell sensors to accurately measure toddlers' height and weight, while simultaneously enhancing the digital literacy of health cadres. A participatory approach was selected as the implementation methodology, with a workflow comprising field needs assessment, on-site device implementation, digital skills training, and program success measurement. Through the executed implementation phases, the system successfully achieved automated and
standardized integration of measurement data. On a non-technical level, the cadres' capacity increased significantly, with average material comprehension rising from 24.7% to 85.5%. Evaluation proves that this digitalization streamlines services, reduces queues, and minimizes human error. Although there is a data transmission delay from the sensors to the database of up to 15 seconds (exceeding the 10-second target), this delay characteristic does not disrupt routine community services. These conditions support the feasibility of integrating a Smart Health Community system through digital anthropometry, providing an appropriate technological solution to improve health data validity, optimize cadre performance, and support the sustainability of child growth monitoring programs in Bantan Village.
