Abstract

ABSTRACT

Highly competitive job-seeking in big cities (e.g. Jakarta) makes it difficult for people to find work. This case also occurs in Pulo Gebang District, East Jakarta. which has an open unemployment rate of 7,24% in 2025 among young and productive adults. Unfortunately, in the process of getting a job, they lack not only in the necessary or job-related technical skills, but they also do not optimally brand their profile when applying for job vacancies, specifically in job interview process as a selection stage. Therefore, this program involved 15 participants of Pulo Gebang District to be trained with learning by doing method, including a simulation and post-training feedback. The goal of this program is increasing participants’ practical skills to be ready and fit in recruitment and selection process. After participating in this program, participants achieved a higher job interview score of 1,43 points (on a scale of 100), indicating they were perceived more positively. Pulo Gebang District can continue to support residents seeking jobs and serve as a sustainable program for the district.
