Focus and Scope
JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) is a journal published by the Mathematics Education Departement of Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) aims to disseminate the results of conceptual thinking and ideas, especially the results of educational research and technology to be realized in the community, including (1) Fields of science, applied, social, economic, cultural, health, ICT development, and administrative services, (2) Training and improvement in the results of educational, agricultural, information and communication, and religious technology (3) Teaching and empowering communities and communities of students, youth, youth and community organizations on an ongoing basis.

Peer Review Process
» Peer Review Process
Every submitted article is independently reviewed by at least a double-blind review (peer-reviewers). The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on the reviewers’ recommendation:
- Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
- Revisions Required: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
- Resubmit for Review: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, it may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
- Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal.
» Article Revision
The articles sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. The revised article returned later than 10 days will be considered as new submissions. The revised article can be sent to the editorial through the Online Submission Interface.
Publication Frequency
2018-2019: JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) is published four times a year, Juni & December.
2021-Present: JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) is published six times a year, February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Open Access Policy
JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) is an open-access journal that provides immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access. Readers have right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles in JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri). This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Publication Ethics
JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) which is reviewed in a peer review and published by the Mathematics Education Study Program of Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram which is published twice a year (June & December). The following are the standards of ethical behavior used in this journal in the publication of articles in line with the Ethics Code for JMM Editors. This Ethics Code is expected to be obeyed by all parties involved in the publication, namely writers, journal managers (editors), reviewers, and publishers.
Publication Decision
The editor determines the publication process and integrates the functions of authors, reviewers, and journal managers to publish good and trusted journals. The editor is responsible for deciding that the article submitted to the journal will be published or not. The editor refers to the journal editorial board policy which is limited by legal provisions, such as defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor can discuss with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
Editors work based on ethical principles and standards as follows:
1. Fair Process
Editors evaluate script content based on their expertise regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or the political philosophy of the author.
2. Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff are not permitted to disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than the author, reviewers, other editorial advisors and publishers.
Every text received by a reviewer must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
3. Avoid Conflict of Interest
Material not published in a submitted text may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author. Confidential information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers do not have to consider texts where they have a conflict of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with one of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the text.
4. Reviewer Duties
Reviewers are tasked with critically examining the substance of scientific research work in accordance with their expertise. Reviewers are tasked with providing input on the decision of the Editorial Team regarding the feasibility of a text to be published. Peer reviews help editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with the author can also help writers to improve the quality of the articles they compile.
5. Accuracy
Every reviewer chosen but feels he is not eligible to review the manuscript provided by the editor or at all beyond his competence must immediately reject and not carry out the review process. If you know other experts who are more suitable, you can recommend an editor to ask the expert as a sustainable partner.
6. Standard Objectivity
The process of reviewing the manuscript must be done objectively. The author's personal criticism is an inappropriate thing to do. Reviewers must provide their views clearly and be accompanied by supporting arguments.
7. Statement of Sources
Reviewers must identify other relevant works that have not been quoted by the author. Each statement that is the result of observation, derivation, or an argument that has been used previously must be accompanied by a relevant quote. Reviewers must also consider the existence of substantial similarities or overlaps between the texts being considered and other published papers. Appropriate recognition of the work of others must always be given. Authors must cite publications that influence the determination of the nature of their research.
8. Duties of the Author
Reporting Standards
Authors of original research reports must present accurate reports of research and studies conducted. The data taken must be written accurately in the research report. Manuscripts must be detailed and have sufficient references to enable others to refer well. Counterfeiting Reports or intentionally inaccurate behavior is unethical and unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
The authors must ensure that they have written the original work entirely, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others, they must quote it correctly in accordance with the applicable rules. A writer should not publish a text that describes the same foundation of research in more than one journal or major publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical publishing and unacceptable.
Script Writing
Authorship must be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research reported. All people who have made significant contributions must be registered as writers. People who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project must be recognized or registered as contributors.
The authors must ensure that all member writers are included in the text, and all authors must have examined and approved the final version of the text and have agreed to be published.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the published text, it is the duty of the author to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to withdraw or correct the text.
Authors BlackList
Author who draws paper on the grounds that it has been published in another journal or author who does not return the revised results in accordance with the time specified in the Peer Review Process, then the author will be included in the List of Authors Blacklisted for publication in JMM (Jurnal Masyarakat Mandiri) again.

Publication Charges
This journal charges the following author fees.
Article Submission: 0.00 IDR
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.
Article Publication: 650.000 IDR
This journal charges the article publication fee for supporting the cost of wide-open access dissemination of research results, managing the various costs associated with handling and editing of the submitted manuscripts, and the Journal management and publication in general, the authors or the author's institution is requested to pay a publication fee for each article accepted. The fee covers:
Plagiarism Check
The author must ensure that they have written the original work, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others, they must quote it correctly in accordance with the applicable rules. A Author may not publish text that describes the same foundation of research in more than one journal or major publication. Submit the same manuscript to a more complete journal delivered that is unethical and unacceptable. The editor will run a plagiarism check using Turnitin for the submitted articles before sending to the reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised contents. If an article has over 20% of plagiarism based on the result of the check, we will send back the article to the author to be revised for the plagiarised contents.
