LITERASI DIGITAL UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS: PROGRAM PENDAMPINGAN UNTUK MGMP BAHASA INGGRIS SMP
Abstract
Abstract: The ability to use technology is one of the important factors in learning English in the Kurikulum Merdeka in Junior High Schools, however, most teachers in Agam Regency experience problems mastering these digital skills. This mentoring program is one of the efforts to facilitate Junior High School English teachers with digital literacy skills as a Partnership program between the Agam Regency Government and the Jakarta State University. As a follow-up to the results of multi-year research in the previous year, this program was held face-to-face for four full days, 23 – 26 June 2022, involving five lecturers and three students. The questionnaire and the final reflection show that this activity is beneficial and in line with the needs of teachers in utilizing technology for learning. After the mentoring, this program continued with a series of workshops themed on Microlearning in English learning held virtually every month. Based on the evaluation results of Agam Regency, this activity is designated as a flagship program for the next three years and will involve all English teachers.
