PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH ORGANIK RUMAH TANGGA SEBAGAI ECO ENZYME

Abstract


Abstrak: Desa Sidomulyo, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, mempunyai bank sampah Sidomulyo Maju yang dibangun dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pengelolaan sampah serta meningkatkan nilai perekonomian masyarakat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat desa setempat adalah limbah organik dari rumah tangga yang belum dikelola dengan optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan di Desa Sidomulyo tersebut dengan mengolah limbah organik menjadi eco enzyme. Metode kegiatan ini adalah dengan melakukan ceramah, diskusi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan monitoring pengolahan eco enzyme oleh 2 instruktur dan 6 asisten instruktur kepada 30 orang peserta (anggota bank sampah dan masyarakat Desa Sidomulyo). Kegiatan ini menghasilkan masyarakat dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mampu melakukan pengolahan eco enzyme. Masyarakat diharapkan menerapkan pengelolaan limbah organik menjadi eco enzyme yang dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah limbah dan pendapatan. Antusiasme dan keaktifan peserta juga ditunjukkan oleh kinerja peserta selama pelatihan dan hasil produk yang dihasilkan serta proses tanya-jawab (diskusi) yang aktif selama pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai keterserapan materi yang disampaikan dari 47,78 (tes awal) menjadi 94,17 (tes akhir).

Abstract: Sidomulyo Village, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, has a Sidomulyo Maju waste bank which was built with the aim of increasing public awareness about waste management and increasing the community's economic value. The problem faced by the local village community is organic waste from households that has not been managed optimally. This community service activity aims to overcome the problems in Sidomulyo Village by processing organic waste into eco enzyme. The method of this activity is to conduct lectures, discussions, training, mentoring, and monitoring of eco enzyme by two trainers and six assistant trainers to 30 participants (waste bank members and Sidomulyo Village community). This activity produces people with the knowledge and skills capable of processing eco enzymes. The community is expected to apply organic waste management to become eco enzymes which can increase the added value of waste and income. The enthusiasm and activeness of the participants was also shown by the performance of the participants during the training and the results of the products produced as well as the active question and answer (discussion) process during the training. The evaluation results showed that there was an increase in the absorption value of the material presented from 47.78 (pretest) to 94.17 (posttest).
