PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN ANGGOTA PROLANIS TENTANG MENJAGA KESEHATAN DI USIA LANJUT DAN MENCEGAH INFEKSI DENGAN CUCI HIDUNG
Abstract
Abstrak: Usia lanjut merupakan tahapan suatu proses kehidupan yang ditandai oleh penurunan, kelemahan dan kerentanan tubuh terhadap penyakit dan lingkungan. Permasalahan utama pada manula adalah mulai timbulnya beberapa penyakit kronis sehingga dibuat program pengelolaan penyakit kronis (Prolanis) untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan menjaga kesehatan anggotanya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran anggota Prolanis sehingga mampu secara mandiri melakukan penjagaan kesehatan dan pencegahan dari faktor-faktor risiko yang membahayakan pada usia lanjut. Kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan koordinasi, dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan ceramah, demo cuci hidung dan diakhiri dengan kesan pesan dan evaluasi. Acara diikuti oleh perwakilan anggota prolanis sebanyak 30 peserta secara onffline dengan menjaga protokol kesehatan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengisi kuesioner dimana terjadi peningkatan dari peserta terbanyak saat pre-tes mampu menjawab 75% pertanyaan dengan benar dan meningkat menjadi peserta terbanyak saat post-tes mampu menjawab 80% pertanyaan dengan benar.
Abstract: Elderly is a stage of a life process marked by decline, weakness and vulnerability of the body to disease and the environment. The main problem in the elderly is the emergence of several chronic diseases so that a chronic disease management program (Prolanis) was created to improve the quality of life and maintain the health of its members. This service aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of Prolanis members so that they are able to independently carry out health care and prevention of harmful risk factors in old age. Service activities begin with coordination, followed by holding lectures,nasal irrigation demonstrations and ending with message impressions and evaluations. The event was attended by representatives of prolanis members as many as 30 participants while maintaining health protocols. The evaluation was carried out by filling out a questionnaire where there was an increase from the most participants during the pre-test being able to answer 75% of the questions correctly and increasing to the most participants during the post-test being able to answer 80% of the questions correctly.
